Call for Volunteers

The local committee of DiGRA 2018 (Turin, Italy, July 25-28, 2018), one of the leading game studies conferences in the world, is seeking volunteers. If you are a game/media student and are interested in discovering what a large academic conference about video games looks like, you can apply to be a DiGRA volunteer.

Your duties will include giving directions and advice to the presenters, welcoming the delegates, making sure that everything works during a panel or session. You will be able to discover groundbreaking research in video games and digital media and meet with an informal, inclusive and friendly community of international scholars. For more information on the conference, please visit digra2018.com.

DiGRA fees will be waived for volunteers, but you will need to cover your own travel and accommodation expenses in Turin. To apply as volunteer, please write to riccardo.fassone@unito.it (subject line: DiGRA volunteer) and include a CV and a short motivational letter. The deadline for application is April 27, 2018.

Please note that this position is limited to undergraduate and graduate students only; authors/presenters of this year’s DiGRA are not eligible.

Sincerely,

The local chairs
Riccardo Fassone
Matteo Bittanti
